Description

South gate of Kyongbok Palace (Kwanghwa-mun). Three arched double roofed pavilion flanked by stone carved twin haet'ae - fire eating monsters capable of destroying evil, and a symbol of justice in China. Moved to East wall in 1926, returned to original location 1969. Koreans and mule in foreground.
