Description

Alâeddin Camii - largest Selcuk mosque in Konya, taking seventy years to build and undergoing several modifications hence irregular form. Decagonal eastern turbe, western turbe is octagonal with dome. Kiosk (Kılıçarslan II pavilion) in foreground is remains of defence tower in wall of Seljuk inner city - converted into imperial residence in 13th C.
