Meiringen. Wed. I am sending you a telegram announcing a change of address, I will however go to the Schönegg to see if there are letters for me. But Fuhrer says the Eiger is better for our purposes. I've met my 2 guides and am off to a hut at once and over the Wetterhorn to Grindelwald tomorrow. It's beautiful weather and they say the snow is in fine condition. It's gorgeous fun! G.B.

Evolving Hands is a collaborative digital scholarship project between Newcastle University and Bucknell University which explores the use of Handwritten Text Recognition (HTR) and Text Encoded Initiative (TEI XML) to enhance cultural heritage material. In this project, we have applied these methods to a selection of letters from the Gertrude Bell Archive.
