June 26 Red Barns Coatham, Redcar. My dear Papa I liked your letter very much on Sunday. The raven is tamer. It has rained here also. The wild roses are out there are such lots. The pinks are most beautiful. I wish you were here to see them. Maurice and I send our love from your loving child Gertrude
give my love to Miss Olliffe.
