95 Sloane Street Sunday Darling Mother. It was so delightful to hear your voice on the telephone! I've only time for a word for we are motoring off to lunch with the Lawleys and have tea with the Grants. I resolutely refused to stay on to dinner with them, but Janet Courtney is dining with us here so Father is quite happy! He is wonderfully well, isn't he.
I am so much looking forward to coming to Rounton and to doing nothing in the bosom of my family. We lunched with the Lloyds yesterday and I found them just the same intimate friends that I had left. Only there was too much to say.

There is also much too much to say to you, but I shall say it at Rounton. Your very affectionate daughter Gertrude
