Baghdad June 11. Dearest Mother. Of course I'll go and see Nurse O'Grady - now that the Treaty is passed I feel ready for anything! Will you please pay the £5 for the pots out of my cheque book. I hope they are very pretty. I was so much preoccupied last week that I didn't write to Moll, but I will this week.
Oh dearest, it's such a relief to have the Treaty behind us!

What fun your taking the Abp to the theatre!

Your visit to the Lawleys sounded very nice. Of course I know Mr Dodge and like him. He lunched with us at 95 last year.

I've written all events to Father - goodbye dearest. Your very affectionate daughter Gertrude.
