Boulogne Feb 15 Dearest Mother. I think I shall come over on Wed. and probably go straight up to Newcastle for a couple of nights to see M [Maurice]. Then back to London. I shall only have a very short time. You need not mention that I am going to be there. I'm tired and I don't want to see many people - you'll understand the feeling. I can't leave Tiger alone here for more than a week I think; 10 days at the outside.
