Rounton Grange Feb 1. Dearest Mother. Here they are and I return the key. I'm so glad to hear that the play is going well. As for me I am so busy with the Euphrates that I have not time to think of anything. This chapter is immense, however you look at it.
I should particularly like to go to the play on Sunday and I shd be very glad to go on Monday too if there is a ticket to spare, but if you are short of them it wd be better to send someone else. But I must see the 1st performance! Your affectionate daughter Gertrude
