Rounton Grange Sep 7. Belloved Mother. The opening of the Club here is fixed for the 12th - do you realize that that is the last day of the Leeds festival? I do not know if you intend to go, but the Johnsons will only just be back from it and Phyllis does not feel she can sing at our concert (for we are going to have a concert among other things!) on top of all the festival. I have not however altered the date because I do not know if the Sat. before or after wd suit you. If you prefer to alter let me know. There's heaps of time.
Here are some letters that will amuse you. I've asked Prof Sayce to come here on his way south in a month's time. I hope you will be here for he is, I believe, very agreeable. Don't you love Delitzsh! I think you must send me back these two; they are curios. I should like to remember them most lively.

I rode with Annie yesterday afternoon and had tea at Mt Grace. The R's are extremely happy. Now I'm going to Brotton. Your affectionate daughter Gertrude
