Aidin [Aydin] Ap 20 Dearest Mother. I can't bear not to write you a little private word. Please tell me what you think of it all, and did you expect it? You see I scarcely know him, but you like him very much don't you? The trouble is I don't think anyone good enough for her, still I suppose she can't remain single for that reason! I wish I could talk to you for a little, dearest Belloved Mother we shall miss her dreadfully shan't we? I will try to do for your some of the things she did, though I shan't do them half so well. Will you bear with them half done? Do please write to me all your plans.
I am delighted to hear your book is being received with enthusiasm. I knew it would be. It's so very very good. Thank you for the daff.[?] minimus - isn't he a darling?

If you want me back telegraph to Konia [Konya (Iconium)] and I'll throw Ramsay over. Your very affectionate daughter Gertrude
