95 Sloane Street Thursday Dearest Mother. I am sending you 4 boas and 2 muffs. 2 of the boas are a new straight shape meant to be knotted together under the chin. When this is done they look particularly nate [sic], but I think you will prefer one with tails. The taily muffs are very dear - I send you a sample of the cheapest - and very nice it is - and also an ordinary round muff on which you can have tails put at the rate of 17/ per tail, or 17/6d I forget which. I don't think you will do much better than these. I have been very busy today what with one thing and another. I lunched with Domnul and I am dining with the Crowes. It's disgusting weather. Ever your affectionate daughter Gertrude.
Thank you for asking Sir F.S. Let me know if he comes for in that case I will contrive to be back at 5.20. You see I'm coming from Kent.
