My dear Mother We are still a [sic] Leeds and perhaps we shall be here at Easter. We have lessons with Dick and Horace. Mr Cornish is making Maurace [sic] very quick. We have grand battles with all the soldiers. Dick is a very nice boy now. You know I had a new velvit [sic] skirt when I came here you would not like to see that skirt now. It was so bad that Aunty Kate had to get a cashmere one to go to church in. Aunty Kate sends her love and wishes you and baby were here so we all do. From your loving Gertrude.
