Location

Fri. 13. [13 January 1905] Got on board the Salazie early and
occupied myself in rearranging my luggage. Pleasant day but
sunless. Very few passengers. The sun came later however. I
talked to a Syrian, Nahass by name, who comes from Alexandria, an
American tourist, and a nice little Armenian who lives in Beyrout
[Beyrouth (Beirut)], and was educated at the Jesuit college. Finished
Oppenheim.
