Mon. Dec 1. [1 December 1902] Delicious warm day - running down Crete [Kriti]. Mount Ida [Idhi Oros] snow capped above clouds. I seem to be forever passing down the coast of Crete. Last time was in June! In the afternoon it blew hard and the sun rose. The decks were wet forward but this boat is so steady that we felt no motion. Played Patience with Miss Thornwill before dinner and Bridge after with Mrs Gascoyne instead of Diana. Ports closed which was extremely tiresome and woke with a headache in consequence.
