Fri. 25 [25 May 1900] Woke at 8, headachy and tired. After breakfast
the Agha paid me a long visit and then I sent for Sheikh Muhammad
and had a talk with him. Slept after lunch. Photographed the Baidar,
called on the Mu'allim, Suleiman Jabur, and on the Agha who showed
me a whole heap of stele from Palmyra [Tadmur].
