Location

Fri. 3. [3 June 1898] Left at 7.30 and arrived at Alexandria at 12.30 after
the dustiest journey. Lunched and went onto our boat, the Prince
Abbas, of the Khedivial line. Remembered we had no passports; M.
[Maurice] just had time to go and get them. Very comfortable. Most of
passengers Greeks. A much travelled French man sits next me at
dinner and a Greek who talks English opposite. Quite cool; into
woolen [sic] clothes. Early to bed and long night.
