Tues 13. [13 August 1895] We three swam - it looked cloudy but
afterwards cleared and we regretted that we had not started off on an
expedition. I dived mit anlauf, but rather badly and ended by being a
good deal bruised. However the straight standing dive is
accomplished. In the afternoon we all went up to the Lanser See and
swam again. Mother drove with the Miss Rucks and they arrived just
after we had come out. Elsa and I swam all about the lake but we
were somewhat disturbed by parties of boys in boats who rowed
round after us. We all had tea at Igles and walked down to the tram.
