Fri. 5. [5 May 1893] Cold. Maurice and I to Friedrichroda, Papa left for
England almost at the same time. At Friedrichroda it snowed so we
came straight back to Weimar lunching at Frˆttstedt [Frˆttst‰dt].
Batsches very friendly. Coffee at 3.30. Then Frl Sophie M and I went
to see Frl Schwabe who lives in Frau von Stein's house and then on
for a long walk. In the evening played skat. Awfully sleepy. A large
parcel of Turkish bonbons arrived from a brother in Constantinople
[Istanbul]. Left the little ladies eating them when we went to bed.
