Wed 24. [24 May 1905] Went to the Embassy where I saw Mr Garnett
and got a kavass to help Nowell with my luggage from Konia [Konya
(Iconium)]. Then took boat and down to Therapia where I spent the
day with the Sykeses Interesting talk about Ibrahim Pasha who
seems to be a very great man. Extremely hot even at Therapia.
Back at 7 and dined at home and read the Marriage of William Ashe.
