Sat 29. [29 November 1902] Very pleasant but cold enough to sit in a
fur coat. Read the Birth stories and after lunch did a little Hindustani -
very little! Sybil introduced to me a very nice Mrs Gascoyne and
Lady Eleanor Byng who seems a dear. Mr Storrs is on board - I
made us known to him. Bridge after dinner. Great excitement about
Stromboli.
