Thurs 8. [8 August 1895] Swam in the morning after a long discussion
of plans. Tried running dives and flat dives. Die Nina stood all the
time on the top spring board and pretended she was going to jump:
Jetzt spring ich, ganz bestimmt - but she never did. The Schwimm
Meister went up from time to time and pretended to throw her down
which was just what she wanted. In the afternoon we walked to Hall
over the Thaurer Schloss. Molly came with us. Very pleasant up and
down path through the woods. Mother met us at Hall - we had a hasty
tea and came home by tram. The Miss Rooks joined us at the KK.
Landeshauptschiess-stand, Franz Josef der Erste! We came up with
them. Nice women. Long long evening - the children played Corelli's
sonatas, I read Guerre et Paix, felt dreadfully depressed.
