Mon. May 8 [8 May 1911] In the mosque at 5.30 and worked till 12.45.
Received a {letter} tel from Sami saying that permission had been
granted and the Commandant 'Amrullah Beg informed. Wrote letters
and in the afternoon went back to the mosque for some photographs.
Then called on Mrs T. Effendi and saw her 3 sons and 2 daughters
(she has another son and daughter at Kharput [Harput] College.) The
secretary of the Vilayet (Dragoman) came, an intelligent Christian.
Talausier[?] dined with me.
