Monday July 29 [29 July 1907] Came in very early by steamer - an
awful crowd of people. Sent a note to Fitzm [Fitzmaurice] and went to
the Museum where I saw Edhem Bey and Khalil Bey. The arranging
is not near over. Mr Butler appeared on the scene staying here.
Fitzm came to lunch very late. Went to see Fattuh after whom I found
very restless. Fitzm did not contrive to come to tea as we had
arranged - boring. Callander appeared.
