Sun 30. [30 April 1899] Papa seedy - Uncle Tom and I went onto the
Acropolis. Later Mr Bell and I went photographing. Mr Boucher
arrived from C'ple [Istanbul (Constantinople)] and lunched with us. At
3 left and drove to the Piraeus [Piraievs] where we got onto a very
good Roumanian boat. Did not get off till 8. M. Delacour on board
with an agreeable Dutch friend, M. Oscar van Lennep who lives at
Smyrna [Izmir]. Sat next them at dinner. Papa early to bed.
