Location

Wed 26. [26 January 1898] Arrived at La Libertad, Salvador early in the morning. Up at 6.30. The town lying under low foothills with higher mountain ranges and great points of rock behind. Tiny place. Great roll on and very hot so we decided not to go on shore. Two new passengers, an Englishman and his young and pretty American wife, coffee planters coming from a Finca up country. Nice but dull. Instituted afternoon tea on deck with the Storms. Extremely hot night; though we got off at 2 we reached Acajutla at 6 and lay in port all night.
