Thurs. 13. [13 September 1894] Delicous day. We swam and Elsa
and I dived off the top springboard to our great satisfaction. After
lunch started off by the 2.30 train for the Klamm but Papa had a
strained tendon and turned back and Elsa went with him. Up the
Klamm to the Hundeskirch and then back and along a long and rather
tedious path through the woods, past the H¸ttinger Bild, where we
were much disappointed to find a church but no Restauration - only
inedible pictures of Maria on the trees, and barren fruit! - and past the
Hungerburg where we had milk and home at 7.30.
