93 Sloane Street Thursday Dearest Father. Thank you so much about the sleeper. Isn't it awfully expensive! I thought however that it wd be better to have it as I was alone, because it wd be such a bore to spend the night with any stray passengers in an ordinary carriage. I long to see M. Delecourt's letter.
I went skating this morning and enjoyed it wildly. I have mastered Mohawks, waves, and counters, tell Elsa, so I feel remarkably proud!

I had long talks with Admiral Maxse - he is an old dear! He introduced Mr Bertie Mitford to me - one of the most beautiful of men - and we skated about together. I loved him dearly but it's terrifying to see him tumble about which he does a great deal.

I'm going to spend the afternoon with Domnul, have tea with Mrs Ward and dinner with Frollock. Ever your affectionate daughter Gertrude
