Thurs 26. [26 January 1905] Off at 8 and had a very long ride to Jenin.
The slopes of Carmel delicious - covered with anemones of all
colours and in the muddy fields beds of narcissus. But the plain of
Nazareth was indescribably muddy and tedious. At Tell Muselleh
went up to look at Selin's excavations. I believe he has decided that
this was Megiddo. Got into Jenin after dark. Tired and headachy.
Found Kurt tied up by my tent, bless him, very tired and muddy.
Jackals.
