Sat 27. [27 January 1900] The Rosens very busy celebrating the
Emperor's birthday. I walked with Ferideh down the valley of Liftah
where we found anemones and home past Schneller's school.
Heavenly and hot. We met a cheerful lady who told us she had just
come from a fortnights' prison!
