Tues 16 [16 January 1900] Fine but a little cloudy. Directly after lunch
'Isa and I started off for Jericho - 1.40 - 5 without a break. Most
pleasant ride down and I was delighted to see the oasis of Jericho
again. Found Charlotte having tea in the Hotel Unger. Very warm.
Then all the Dicksons came in. We dined together, quite cheerful,
and early to bed. Went into the Russian enclosure, packed with
pilgrims even the courtyard.
